Torres has been quite poor in the first half to be honest. But he should play the full 90 as they dont really have a replacement do they?
I think its diffo a confidence thing with Torres..that and his multiple lay offs…takes it toll I guess. Still think he’s got “it”,somewhere…..just needs to find it again (wherever its hiding).

had Hazard as my captain for so long but cause everyone else had Torres i played it safe to stick with what everyone else would gain or lose….sigh hopefully my boys score a few more against wigan second half

Here’s the starting lineup for Manchester City:
Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy, Y Toure, Rodwell, Silva, Nasri, Tevez, Aguero
I’m hoping that three (Kompany, Toure, Aguero) of my players here would be able to snatch some points, since Torres (my captain) still hasn’t got any goals or assists in the present.
Also, Rodwell starting is a surprise.

Kop – Why is no Kolorov a surprise? Clichy is first choice LB.
Arsene – It’s not that I’m surprised, it was more in relation to the fact that quite a few people brought him into their teams at the last minute.
I’m far more surprised that Rodwell is playing!

I thought he would stay 3 at the back, so kolarov at left wing was too tempting
JT i wouldnt worry too much mate. These things happen at the start of the year,hard to get an idea of how is playing….even harder when Mancini is the boss.Bloody squad rotation drives me potty.
Yeah that’s right Mancini. 3 at the back against Chelsea then flat back four at home against Southampton.

Mutley – Actually, I think it does make sense, I saw it coming. Mancini had used 3-4-3 in pre-season against lesser teams to see how it would fair. It worked well. Then he used it again in the CS to see if it would work against a stronger oposition and it didn’t. Yes they won the game, but they still let 2 goals in to a Chelsea side lacking in match fitness. The Prem is so competitive now that 3 at the back is too much of a risk.
They battered Chelsea, The only reason they got stopped in their tracks at the CS was a dodgy Keeper gifting Chelsea a second goal. Right up to that point City looked as though they were going to put six past them.
Chelsea were on 10 men though.
And one of the three at the back was also Savic! The system worked IMO
Can’t say I’m at all surprised at City reverting to their 4-2-3-1 formation. I predicted this earlier in the week. It’s almost impossible to use 3 at the back in the Prem.

I’d get rid of Kolorov and Mata over the next 2 game weeks. You can survive with only one spare defender for that time and I feel Torres will be less likely to down in price than Mata, as Mata is likely to be rested soon. Sub him for Bale maybe? This’ll mean you’ll have to play 3-5-2 for GW3.
Yeah, lose mata, he was poor today.
I don’t know if you guys have realised but Mata has been poor since Olympics all the way until the Chelsea pre-season, which is why I didn’t include him. RDM’s worry is not baseless, I think he probably saw that.
Grady i had him penciled in but left him out for that reason too, looked pretty out of sorts in the community shield aswell!!.
